present in /init but was removed when some code was moved from /init to /etc/preinit in rev 10870. This adds udev initialization and only handles hotplug2 initialization when hotplug2 is present. Instead of just having one vol_id package, create a 'udevextras' package for all of the udev "EXTRAS" utilities. Selecting this package allows each extra to be selected individually. Also, installing udevextras adds a few udev rules for persistent device naming.
